Alex brings over 30 years of financial leadership experience from roles at Swiss Re, Zurich, and Everest Insurance, alongside consulting positions with Deloitte in Actuarial and Finance. His career spans both established organisations and fast-growing businesses, positioning him uniquely to contribute to Carbon’s next phase of growth.

Carbon’s focus on blending innovation and technology with authentic leadership has fuelled its impressive rise – in the five years since Carbon launched, it has become the first Lloyd’s Syndicate-In-a-Box to graduate into full Lloyd’s Syndicate status, with its flagship Syndicate 4747 consistently seeing approval for some of the largest annual GWP stamp increases. 

In addition, Carbon has continually driven ground-breaking technological advancements within the delegated authority sector, most recently deploying integrated GenAI to perform powerful data cleansing and bordereaux preparation within its market-leading data platform Graphene.

As CFO, Alex will lead Carbon’s global financial operations and play a key role in strengthening its capabilities as the business continues to evolve and elevate its position in the industry.
