Carbon Underwriting Limited (Carbon), the leading specialist, independent managing general underwriter (MGU), is pleased to announce the appointment of Hugo Bashall as Head of Operations with immediate effect.
Hugo began his insurance career at MS Amlin, performing a number of roles across operations and strategy, including establishing and running an office overseas. A qualified management accountant, his most recent role before joining Carbon was as Head of Operations for MS Amlin’s reinsurance business unit.
Prior to working at MS Amlin, Hugo was an Analyst with Advanced Power, a privately owned company that develops and manages power generation and related infrastructure projects throughout Europe and North America.
Hugo’s appointment is the latest in a series of key hires for Carbon as the business continues to evolve rapidly as a leading technology-driven MGU and Lloyd’s Syndicate.
